The First Official Post & CCC Update

What to right for my first blog post? I'm not sure either. My wife and I are enjoying our Sunday evening by watching Marley and Me and spending time with our pup, Valor (pictured). As I write this, she keeps farting...she is the "gasiest" dog we have ever known, but she is the cutest too.

I have been so excited about what has been happening at Christ Community Church where I lead the worship and youth ministries. God has been doing some really awesome things; after all, He is awesome! The past few weeks have just been really great as the sermons have been exactly what the church needs to hear regarding what we are going through with the pastoral search process. I may sneak in a few sermons so you can hear or you can go to the site yourself to listen to any of the sermons from the past year or so.

There has been two new salvations the past two weeks; what great victories we have seen. There's no greater joy than to see someone cross over from death to life. This morning, our guest speaker and pastor candidate, simply asked if there was anyone who hasn't accepted Jesus and a lady in the front accepted Him for the very first time...and if that wasn't enough; she told us later on that she used to be and grew up as a Jehovah's Witness. It's awesome when anyone comes to Jesus, but what an incredible victory to win someone with that type of a past. You just don't see that very often. There is no person that the Holy Spirit cannot reach.

9 The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent (2 Pet. 3:9, NLT).

Would you join us in prayer for our pastoral search process? It puts some stress and strain on the leadership of the church, but we are also growing through the process. We are looking for a leader/pastor God wants for our ministry; to take us to the next level in loving God and people!

I look forward to more of God in our services and for more lives to be changed. All of the hard work we put into ministry makes sense and is worth it, when we see the fruit of just one life that has been changed for eternity.
